Sister to Sister
After surving an attempted kidnapping, a young journalist in Iraq and her twin back home share war stories
By Tom Acox

On a typical balmy night in Baghdad , now 35-year-old Washington Post reporter Jackie Spinner slept in a tattered bed wearing long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. She wore the warm clothing (despite the heat) in case she had to evacuate the run-down hotel should mortars or other threats come in the middle of the night. She hung the Iraqi flag to remind herself she was a guest in a foreign country.
